Specific Objectives of the event:
- Provide an update on the nature and status of global carbon markets and expectations for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025
- Provide an update on GoPNG’s carbon market regulations
- Enhance communication between stakeholders on the needs and opportunities of carbon markets
Specific results of market update Networking and Information Event:
- Increased understanding across the government and private sector of the PNG carbon market regulations
- Enhanced understanding in government of the needs and expectations of private sector actors
PARTICIPANTS AND ORGANIZATIONAL MATTERS
Expertise France, the Implementing Agency of the national component of the EU-FCCB Programme, will facilitate the event.
The invitees include key government agencies, private sector groups, development partners, and civil society.
The session will occur on November 1, 2024, at the Grand Papua Hotel in downtown Port Moresby.
